Meet Notes: 2009 Season
10/30 OCL Championship Meet:
The Boy's Cross Country Team ended their season on October 30th, at Borderland State Park, competing in the OCL League Championship Meet. Although the guys finished fifth in the meet, the future looks bright as the Freshman and Sophomore classes show alot of promise. The team is looking forward to next season, and should be a factor in the OCL.
10/27 vs Taunton:
Team closed out their 2009 season with a loss to OCL League Champs Taunton, 15 to 46, on October 27th. The top five runners for the Trojans were, James Scaramozzino, Jeff Cooney, Shawn Lynch, James MacArthur, and Mike Warish.
10/20 vs Attleboro:
The B-R Boy's Cross Country Team Lost to a strong Attleboro H.S. team on Tuesday 19 to 42. The top five runners for the Trojan's were, Rob Nee, Mike Warish, Jeff Cooney, Ryan Cooney, and Joe Tarbox. Next Tuesday the guy's take on Taunton H.S. at Borden Colony in Raynham.
10/6 vs Barnstable: T
he Boy's Cross Country Team lost a tough meet to Barnstable H.S. on Tuesday, at Borden Colony in Raynham 23 to 32. The team competed at a high level, with many young Trojan harriers running personal best times on the tough 5K course, but the Red Raider's were just a little to strong. Top finishers for B-R were, Rob Nee, James Scaramozzino, Joe Tarbox, Nick Marini, and Jeff Cooney.
9/29 vs Dartmouth:
The Boy's Cross Country Team traveled to Dartmouth for their first OCL meet of the season on Tuesday. Although the Trojans came up just a little short, dropping a highly contested decision 25 to 30, the young team grew up a little bit with a solid team effort. The loss makes the team 0-1 in the OCL, and 2-3 overall. Top five places for B-R were, Rob Nee, James Scaramozzino, Nick Marini, James MacArthur, and Jeff Cooney. The team will host Barnstable H.S. next Tuesday.
9/22 vs Brockton:
The B-R Boy's Cross Country Team lost to a strong Brockton H.S. team 18 to 40, on Tuesday at Borden Colony in Raynham. The top five finishers for the young Trojans were, Rob Nee, James Scaramozzino, Shawn Lynch, Nick Marini, and Jeff Cooney. The Trojans will host Dartmouth H.S. next Tuesday, in their first OCL meet.
9/9 Ti-meet vs Wewst Bridgewater, Abington & Coyle Cassidy:
The Boy's Cross Country Team opened their 2009 season with a Quad Meet on Wednesday at Borden Colony in Raynham. Overall, the young Trojan harriers had a solid day, defeating West Bridgewater 18 to 45, and Abington 28 to 29. While losing to Coyle Cassidy 22 to 33. Top performers for B-R were, Rob Nee, James Saramozzino, Jeff Cooney, Joe Tarbox, and James MacArthur. The team will compete on Tuesday September 22 at home against Brockton.
