Meet Notes: 2008 Season vs Barnstable 10/1: The B-R Boy's Cross Country Team traveled to Barnstable on Wednesday October 1st. The young Trojan runners competed hard, but fell to a strong Barnstable team 20 to 37. The top performances were turned in by James Scaramozzino, Nick Marini, Peter Callinan, Jeff Cooney, and Ryan Cooney. B-R travels to Durfee on Tuesday October 7th. vs Dartmouth 9/23: The boys cross country team ran hard in their first home meet of the season but OCL rival Dartmouth runners were to strong for the young Trojans. Top B-R runners were Jim Scaramozzino (4th, 19:36) Nick Marini (6th, 20.04) Jeff Cooney (10th, 20:42) and Peter Callinan (12th, 20:50). vs Brockton 9/16: The Trojan's also competed against a strong Brockton team recently, and had an impressive showing at the Clock Farm in Easton. Although, they were defeated 19 to 40, the young men competed very hard and showed great improvement as a team. The top 5 performances for the Trojan's were turned in by, James Scaramozzino, Doug Smith, Nick Marini, Jeff Cooney, and Peter Callinan. The team's record stands at 1-3, and will host their first home meet on Tuesday September 23 against Dartmouth. Tri Meet 9/5 vs West Bridgewater/Braintree/Abington: The B-R Boy's Cross Country Team has been working very hard the past few weeks preparing for their season. Recently, they competed in their first meet of the season at West Bridgewater High School. The young Trojan squad defeated West Bridgewater, 23 to 34. They were defeated by Braintree, 22 to 35, and Abington 20 to 36. The top 5 finishers for B-R were, James Scaramozzino, Nick Marini, Jeff Cooney, Peter Callinan, and Doug Smith. |
