Match Notes 2009 Season
10/28 Golf Team End ofSeason Tournament: I would like to start by thanking all the people who have made it possible for the BR golf team to enjoy the 2009 season .
#1 My lovely wife JoAnn who supports and puts up with me.
The parents who provide love , support and transportation not to mention $$$$$$ for golf clubs, green fees, gas money food etc , etc.
Mr Buron our AD , paperwork, scheduling matches, buses, listening to hundreds of questions etc etc.
Mr Jones, Volunteer Assistant who works for free making it possible for non-varsity golfers to be able to play during Varsity away matches .
Chris Anthony and the staff at Old Scotland Links who are always there to help and support us and I might add a pleasure to work with.
OSL Golf Commission who support us and make the course available to the BR golf team .
Mr Bruce Langlan who makes it possible for all of us to follow BR sports on the Web Site. Can you imagine what it must be like tracking down all that info for all those teams. Thanks again Bruce.

10/26 MIAA South Sectional Golf Tournament: The B-R golf team finished in 7th place at the MIAA Div 1 South golf tournament played today at Brookmeadow C C in Canton Ma.
Top three team go the the finals at Turner Hills C C in Ipswich Ma. #1 B C High 314 # 2 Needham H S 317 # 3 Barnstable H S 317. The individual cut was 76 . BR finishes their season with a team Tournament Tuesday at OSL and the OCL Tournament which will be played at Allendale C C on Wednesday 10/28. B-R individual scores were: Cody Nussbaum 79, Chris Oien 81, Pat Koczela 85, Evan Ross 86, Trey Sibert 89, Matt Hart 90. The top four scores counted in the competition.
10/19 OCL Tournament: B-R golfers played in the Annual OCL Golf Tournament at Allendale C C .Awards were presented to golfers with the 10 best scores . BR was the only team with three golfers in the top ten .Co Captain Matt Hart , and Cody Nussbaum tied for third place and Trey Sibert finished 6th. B-R scores: Matt Hart and Cody Nussbaum 80, Trey Sibert 84, Chris Oien 86, Evan Ross 88, Pat Koczela 90.
10/15 Varsity vs Taunton: The B-R golf team moved one step closer to qualifying for the MIAA State Golf Tournament by defeating Taunton H S in a match played at Segregansett C C. Player scores: Chris Oien 42, Cody Nussbaum 43, Pat koczela 44, Trey Sibert 44, Matt Hart 45, Jim Kenney 46, Brian Pentz 46.
10/14 Varsity vs Xaverian: The B-R golf team lost a non league match to Xaverian H S .The match was played at Brookmeadow C C the site of the MIAA State Golf Div 1 Qualifying Tournament. Individual scores: Pat Koczela 38, Trey Sibert 39, Brian Pentz 43, Cody Nussbaum 43, Jim Kenney 45, Chris Oien 46, Matt Hart 46, Evan Ross 46.
10/13 Varsity vs Attleboro: The B-R golf team played their last match of the season defeating Attleboro H S at OSL finishing in second place in the OCL . The win also qualified the team for the MIAA State Golf Tournament which is scheduled to be played Monday 10/26/09 at Brookmeadow C C in Canton Ma. The match was played under very difficult conditions with a very low wind chill factor.The team finished 8 and 8 after starting 1 and 6 . Their OCL record is 5 and 3. The next event to be played is the OCL Tournament which will be played at Allendale C C in Dartmouth Ma. on Monday 10/19./09. Individual scores: Cody Nussbaum 36 even par, Chris Oien 38, Evan Ross 39, Jim Kenney 42, Brian Pentz 42, Matt Hart 44, Pat koczela 44.
10/8 Varsity vs Durfee: The B-R golf team defeated Durfee H.S. in a non league match held at Fall River C C . The win moves their record to 6 and 7 keeping them in contention for the State Tournament. B-R scores: Cody Nussbaum 42, Matt Hart & Jim Kenney 43, Evan Ross 44, and Chris Oien & John Scleparis 45.
10/7 Varsity vs Brockton: The B-R golf Team defeated Brockton H S in a non league match played at OSL. The win keeps the team in the hunt for the State Tour. B-R scores: Chris Oien 37, Cody Nussabaum 39, Jim Kenney 40, Trey Sibert 41, Matt Hart 42 and Pat Koczela 43.
10/6 Varsity vs Barnstable:The golf team lost a league match to Barnstable at Hyannis Golf Course. B-R low scorers were : Matt Hart 40, Trey Sibert, Pat Koczela, and Jim Kenny 41. Four players shot a 45, Chris Oien ,Cody Nussbaum, Evan Ross & Brian Pentz.
10/1 Varsity vs Dartmouth: The B-R Golf team won their third match this week defeating Dartmouth H S in an away match at Allendale C C. The Trojans players scores were: Cody Nussbaum 42, Chris Oien and Pat Koczela 43, Jimmy Kenney and Trey Sibert 45, Evan Ross and Brian Pentz 46.
9/30 Varsity vs Durfee: The B-R golf team defeat Durfee H.S.in a non league match at OSL. The following BR golfers won their match Cody Nussbaum, Chris Oien,Trey Sibert, Evan Ross, John Vallarelli. Leading scorers were: Nussbaum & Oien carded a 38, Hart 39, Ross 41 and Sibert a 42.
9/29 Varsity vs Taunton: In a OCL matchup at Olde Scotland Links the Trojans defeated Taunton to bring their OCL record to 2 & 2. B-R low scorers were: Chris Oien, Matt Hart and Evan Ross 38, Cody Nussbaum39, BrianPentz 42 and Peter Charette 44.
9/23 Varsity vs Attleboro: The B-R golf team lost to Attleboro H S in a match played at Highlands C C. The Trojans leading scorers were: Trey Sibert 39, Matt Hart 42, Pat Koczela 43, Chris Oien and Cody Nussbaum 44.
9/22 Varsity vs Pembroke: The B-R Golf team lost a close match to Pembroke H S at OSL. Low scorers were: Chris Oien 39, Matt Hart, Evan Ross, Cody Nussbaum all 41, Pat Koczela 42 and Brian Pentz 44.
9/17 Varsity vs Barnstable:The Trojans dropped a OCL match at home against Barnstable 255 - 245. B-R low scorers were: Cody Nussbaum 40, Trey Sibert & Pat Koczela 42, Evan Ross & Chris Oien 43, Matt Hart 45.
9/15 Varsity vs Dartmouth: In their first OCL match the Trojans defeated Dartmouth 243 - 254. Leading the way for the Trojans were: Cody Nussbaum 36, Chris Oien 39, Matt Hart 40, Brian Pentz 42, Evan Ross and Pat Koczela 43.
9/14 Varsity vs Xaverian: The Trojans dropped a home match to Xaverian 240 to 248. B-Rs low scorers were: Chris Oien and Trey Sibert 40, Cody Nussbaum and Pat Kozcela 41, Matt Hart 42 and Evan Ross 44.
9/9 Varsity vs Brockton: The BR golf team was defeated in a non league match by Brockton H S at Brockton C C. Leading scorers for B-R were: Trey Sibert 40, Matt Hart & Cody Nussbaum 42, Chris Oien 44.
