Meet Notes: 2007 - 2008 Season
South Sectionals
BR finished in 6th place at South Sectionals on Friday Feb 23rd at Hudson High School. Despite their best efforts, the team did not score high enough to finish in the top four spots and advance to the State Finals. Lexi Zonfrelli finished with an all around score of 36 including an 8.45 on vault, a 9.125 on bars, a 9.1 on beam, and a 9.225 on floor. Danielle Haslam finished with a 35.12, including an 8.55 on vault, an 8.75 on bars, an 8.7 on beam, and a 9.125 on floor. Rachel Livolsi scored an 8.85 on bars, an 8.8 on beam, and an 8.9 on floor. Jillian Kitterick finished with an 8.25 on beam and an 8.8 on floor. Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.3 on vault, an 8.4 on bars, and an 8.3 on beam. Kelsey Baumgarten scored a 7.95 on vault and a 7.65 on bars. Sarah Studley scored a 7.25 on vault and a 7.1 on floor. Cassie Young scored a 7.5 on bars and Madison Small scored a 7.75 on beam. Amanda Young scored a 7.9 on floor.
Cranberry Gymnastics League Meet
BR finished third out of the top 8 teams in the league at the League Meet on Saturday February 9th with a 142.2 and will advance to South Sectionals as the 5th seed. In a league of 16 teams, we also finished 3rd overall. Lexi Zonfrelli finished in 4th place for all around with a 37.9, including a 9.0 on vault, a 9.4 on bars and beam and a 9.5 on floor. Danielle Haslam finished in 7th with a 36.75, including an 8.8 on vault, a 9.35 on bars, a 9.15 on beam, and a 9.1 on floor. Rachel Livolsi finished in 4th place on bars with a 9.1 and in 1st place on floor with a 9.4. Jillian Kitterick scored an 8.5 on bars and beam and an 8.7 on floor. Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.3 on vault, an 8.5 on bars and a 7.9 on beam. Kelsey Baumgarten scored an 8.1 on vault and an 8.15 on bars. Sarah Studley scored a 7.6 on vault, Cassie Young scored a 7.2 on bars, Madison Small scored a 7.8 on beam, Sarah Gallagher scored a 7.7 on floor and Amanda Young scored an 8.2 on floor.
vs Somerset: B-R beat Somerset last night in their final home meet of the season. BR finished with a 142.4 and Somerset scored a 123.8. Senior and captain Lexi Zonfrelli won the all around competition with a 37.4, including a 9.3 on vault, a 9.0 on bars, a 9.6 on beam, and a 9.6 on floor. Junior Danielle Haslam finished second in the all around with a 34.8, including an 8.0 on vault, an 8.6 on bars, a 9.0 on beam, and a 9.2 on floor. Junior Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.3 on vault and bars and an 8.0 on beam and her sister Kelsey also contributed with an 8.0 on vault. Sophomore Rachel Livolsi finished the meet with an 8.4 on bars, a 9.1 on beam, and a 9.2 on floor and Jillian Kitterick (also a sophomore) tallied an 8.5 on vault, an 8.9 on beam, and a 9.4 on floor. Junior Amanda Young scored an 8.5 on floor and senior captain Erin McGrath scored an 8.0 on floor.
vs Case: The girls lost in a close meet against Case High School. B-R finished with a 139.4, while Case ended the meet with a 142.2. Despite the team's loss, Lexi Zonfrelli won the all around competition with a 37.7, including a 9.4 on vault, a 9.2 on bars, a 9.5 on beam, and a 9.6 on floor. Danielle Haslam finished with a 34.4 in the all around including an 8.9 on beam and a 9.2 on floor. Kelsey Baumgarten and Alyssa Baumgarten both scored an 8.0 on vault and Alyssa scored an 8.3 on bars and an 8.4 on beam. Rachel Livolsi had an 8.4 on bars, an 8.5 on beam, and and 8.9 on floor. Jillian Kitterick had an 8.3 on beam and an 8.8 on floor.
vs Attleboro: BR beat Attleboro on Saturday 136.55 to 135.75. Lexi Zonfrelli finished second in the all around competition with a 35.05 and Danielle Haslam scored a 34.65. Heather Spring scored an 8.0 on vault, an 8.2 on bars, and an 8.7 on floor. Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.1 and bars and an 8.3 on beam. Rachel Livolsi scored an 8.0 on vault, an 8.8 on beam and an 8.65 on floor. Erin McGrath and Jillian Kitterick both scored an 8.3 on floor.
vs Carver/Sacred Heart: The Lady Trojans beat Carver-Sacred-Heart yesterrday 139.45 to 130.25. Team captain and senior Lexi Zonfrelli lead the all around competition with a 36.2, including a 9.2 on bars, a 9.3 on beam, and a 9.45 on floor. Junior Danielle Haslam came in second for all around with a 35.6, including an 8.9 on bars, an 8.85 on beam, and a 9.0 on floor. Heather Spring contributed to the team's overall points with an 8.9 on bars and an 8.2 on floor. Rachel Livolsi also chalked up an 8.9 on beam and an 8.5 on floor. Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.2 on bars and Jillian Kitterick socred an 8.45 on beam and an 8.3 on floor.
vs Plymouth South: Lexi Zonfrelli finished first overall with a 37.4 on all around, including a 9.0 on vault, a 9.5 on bars, a 9.6 on beam, and a 9.3 on floor. Danielle Haslam finished third with a 35.95 for all around, including a 9.0 on vault, an 8.7 on bars, a 9.1 on beam, and a 9.15 on floor. Other high scorers were Kelsey Baumgarten with an 8.8 on vault, Alyssa Baumgarten with an 8.6 on bars, an 8.1 on beam, and an 8.55 on floor, Heather Spring with an 8.3 on vault, and 8.9 on bars, and an 8.4 on floor. Rachel Livolsi chimed in with an 8.25 on vault, a 9.0 on beam, and an 8.65 on floor, Madison Small had an 8.3 on beam, Erin McGrath scored an 8.4 on floor and Amanda Young had a 7.3 on beam.
vs Barnstable: BR lost to Barnstable, the defending state champs, last night 140.8 to 146.4. Danielle Haslam scored a 35.9 all around, including an 8.9 on vault and bars, a 9.1, beam, and a 9.0 on floor and Lexi Zonfrelli finished with a 35.55 all around, including a 9.1 on vault, a 9.35 on bars, and 8.0 on beam, and a 9.1 on floor. Other standouts were Jillian Kitterick with an 8.8 on vault and floor and an 8.6 on beam, Heather Spring with an 8.4 on vault, an 8.9 on bars and an 8.6 on floor. Rachel Livolsi scored a 9.25 on bars and an 8.8 on floor. Kelsey Baumgarten scored an 8.8 on vault and an 8.15 on bars and Alyssa Baumgarten scored an 8.75 on vault and an 8.3 on bars and floor. Freshman, Madison Small, and junior, Amanda Young, showed their skill and confidence on beam as well.
vs Cohesset/Norwell: BR kicked off its gymnastics season scoring a 139.45 against Cohasset Norwell, who scored a 111.8. Senior captain Lexi Zonfrelli scored a 35 for all around including a 9.3 on floor and a 9.1 on bars. Danielle Haslam scored a 36 on all around, including an 8.9 on vault and bars, a 9.1 on beam and a 9.2 on floor. Other standout include Alyssa Baumgarten with an 8.0 on vault and an 8.3 on bars, Rachel Livolsi with an 8.2 on vault and an 8.9 on floor, Heather Spring with an 8.9 on vault and floor and a 9.1 on bars, Jillian Kitterick with an 8.4 on beam and an 8.3 on floor and Erin McGrath with an 8.45 on bars.
