1/2 Varsity vs Archbishop Williams: in yet another away game The Trojans were just out played from start to finish as they started the new year with a 6-1 loss. Junior Ryan Swart got his first goal of the season in the loss.
12/29 Varsity vs Duxbury: Continuing on their tour of playing the top teams in the State, the Trojans skated in an emotional battle with Duxbury which the game was secondary as their Captain Brian McSherry's scary Injury took priority over any outcome. After re-gaining their composure and a 45minute delay the Trojans although lost 4-1 showed their MOXY by playing their hearts out for there fallen captain. Peter Drowne had 36 Saves and Truman Daniels had a Goal in the loss.
12/26 Varsity vs Falmouth: Backed by another 24 save performance by Peter Drowne and Gaols by Junior Connor Sullivan and fellow classmate Owen Wholley the Trojans skated to their 2nd straight tie with a 2-2 finish.
12/22 varsity vs St. Mary's of Lynn: The Trojans remained un-defeated at home as they took on the former #1 Ranked team in the State and Skated to A 0-0 Tie. Peter Drowne turned away all 27 Shots he faced to record his first Shut-Out of the season.
12/19 Varsity vs Coyle Cassidy: The Trojans got there first win of the season as they pounded the visiting Warriors for all 3 Periods. The Trojans were led by two goals from Junior Defenseman Nick Holmes and a Goal and 2 Assists by Junior Connor Sullivan. A solid Performance by Senior Goalie Peter Drowne getting his first win of the season.
12/12 Varsity vs Andover: On Wednesday night the Trojans took on the 18th Ranked Andover Warriors in Tewksbury Ma. The Warriors took the early lead on a Goal that will be questioned all year, as the puck clearly hit the crossbar, but the Referee's called a goal. Andover came right back with another goal to go to the locker room with a comfortable 2-0 lead at the end of the first. The Trojans Came roaring back from the drop of the puck in the second period dominating play all over the ice forcing the Warriors onto their heals for most of the period. At 10:38 of the period Sophomore Justus Daniels slid a back hander from the slot by the Andover goalie to fuel the Trojans fire. Heading into the third period The Trojans Fire continued as they truly dominated every aspect of the game Pounding the Andover team all over the ice and forcing the Warriors to take 12 Icings and holding them to a measly 5 shots. Although the Trojans Dominated all play they once again came up short in the Goal scoring department and could not bury the equalizer. A game the Team truly won on the Ice and lost on the scoreboard, if this is the sign of whats to come this team will be fun to watch all season.
12/8 Varsity vs Pemebroke: The Varsity Opened its Season with a heartbreaking 3 to 2 loss to Pembroke H.S.. After a First period where Senior Goalie Peter Drowne stole the show making save after save to keep it a scoreless game. The second period did not go as well with the Trojans surrendering 3 goals in the second period two of which were on the power play. The Trojans battled back with their first goal of the season from Connor Sullivan at 7:54 of the second period. The Trojans, facing a 3 to 1 deficit in the third period finally took control of the game dominating the play as Connor Sullivan brought the Trojans within 1 goal with his second goal of the season and game at 10:14. From there the Trojans had Pembroke on its heals and scrambling to hold on but unfortunately they were not able to complete the comeback. A gritty 3rd Period but to little to late!
