Game Notes 2009 Season
11/11 Varsity MIAA South Sectional Tournament vs Whitman/Hanson:
The Trojans lost to the strong and fast Whitman-Hanson team during the quarterfinals of the MIAA tournament. The Lady Trojans had an impressive year. They had two ties and one loss in their first three games of the season but they soon found a balance and went on an eight game winning streak. The young, but talented Trojans were able to overcome obstacles such as injuries and the flu that seem to take over the players one by one.
The Lady Trojans not only found a balance in their play, but they competed like champions into the quarter finals of the post season tournament. This truly was an astounding achievement since many regarded this year as a building year. The composition of the change in teams from year to year is a constant in varsity sports; seniors always leave and move on to advanced challenges as they continue to grow and prosper. As always, our senior players will be dearly missed. With high hopes, the growth that is sure to occur with our newer players will very much be the highlight of next year.
