Meet Notes: 2008 Season
Varsity vs Attleboro: The Lady Trojans of B-R Regional H.S. defeated the previously unbeaten Attleboro H.S. girls on Tuesday May 13th, the final score was 69.33 to 66.67. The meet was a fabulous meet, as both teams competed at a very high level of competition. With the victory for B-R, the girls were crowned OCL Champions running their season record to 7-0, and 4-0 in the OCL. Winners for B-R included: Melanie Frazier, Ashley Gracia, Jacqui Perkins, Courtney Allen, and Molly Pomroy. Other scorers for the Lady Trojans were: Samantha Bissonnette, Amy Delgado, Katie Laubi, Jess Rogers, Morgan Fries, Amanda Brown, Alicia Roberts, Andrea Murray, and Katie Ayers. The girls travel to Andover H.S. on Saturday to compete in the State Relays.
Varsity vs Taunton: The B-R Girls Track and Field Team ran their record too an impressive 6-0, and 3-0 in the OCL on Tuesday May 6th at home against Taunton H.S., with a 99 to 37 victory. The win sets up a winner take all meet next Tuesday against Attleboro H.S. at home, with the winner being crowned OCL Champions. Winners for B-R included: Amy Delgado, Ashley Gracia, Courtney Allen, Melanie Frazier, Colleen Buckley, Samantha Bissonnette, Amanda Young, Molly Pomroy, Amanda Brown, Andrea Murray, Jacqui Perkins, Aliya Rosenberg, Isabella DeVincenzo, and Elizabeth Bodensieck. Other scorers included: Michelle Young, Katie Laubi, Jessica Rogers, Melissa MacDonald, Kassandr Aveni, Katie Ayers, and Emily Garcia.
Freshman/Sophomore Meet: The B-R Girls Track and Field Team traveled to Durfee H.S. on Saturday May 3rd to compete in the annual Freshman/Sophomore Meet. The Lady Trojans continued their great season with an impressive showing amongst the 23 teams competing. Winning medals for B-R were: Amanda Brown, Elisabeth Bodensieck, Jacqui Perkins, Alicia Roberts, Jamie Correia, Molly Pomroy, Aliya Rosenberg, Katie Ayers, Lauren Monahan, Andrea Murray, and Isabella DeVincenzo. Other young ladies participating well for B-R were: Morgan Fries, Molly Buckley, Shannon Burke, Erin Desrosier, Kelsey Baumgarten, Joanna Carroll, Emily Garcia, Alison Sasenick, Elisabeth Belanger, Samantha Torpey, Jessica Williams, Jen Petty, Danielle Enos, Erin Piesco, Madison Reilly, Taryn Arrighi, Emily Ciliberto, Katie Palmer, Michelle Spinney, Carly Brady, Kasey Sullivan, Madison Small, Sarah Wigley, and Samantha Wholley. The young ladies of B-R will host Taunton H.S. on Tuesday May 6th in an important OCL Meet.
Varsity vs New Bedford: The B-R Girls Spring Tack and Field Team scored an impressive win at home on Wednesday, the 30th of April, against New Bedford H.S. The final score was 75 to 61, running the Lady Trojans record to 5-0 overall, and 2-0 in the OCL. Young ladies winning events included: Amy Delgado, Melanie Frazier, Jacqui Perkins, Courtney Allen, Amanda Brown, Samantha Bissonnette, Andrea Murray, and Molly Pomroy. Other scorers for B-R included: Ashley Gracia, Jessica Rogers, Kassandra Aveni, Sarah Cote, Michelle Ives, Morgan Fries, Katie Ayers, Kim Gabriele, Reilly Lindsey, and Colleen Buckley. The next meet for the girls is the annual Freshman/Sophomore Meet @ Durfee on Saturday May 3rd.
Varsity vs Dartmouth: The B-R Girls Spring Track and Field Team traveled to Dartmouth H.S. on Thursday April 17th and came away with an impressive victory against a very good Dartmouth team. The final score was 83 to 53, and ran the Lady Trojans record to 2-0 in the OCL, and 4-0 Overall. Winners for B-R included: Amy Delgado, Melanie Frazier, Amanda Brown, Jacqui Perkins, Molly Pomroy, Andrea Murray, Samantha Bissonnette, Katie Ayers, Kim Gabriele, Amanda Young, and Elisabeth Bodensieck. Other scorers included: Jessica Rogers, Courtney Allen, Ashley Gracia, Michelle Ives, Jill Wyman, Aliya Rosenberg, Colleen Buckley, Kassandra Aveni, and Kelli Desrochers. The girls will look to continue their winning ways at home against a strong New Bedford H.S. on Tuesday, April 29th.
Varsity vs Barnstable: The B-R Girls Track and Field Team defeated Barnstable H.S. 98.5 to 36.5 on Tuesday April 15th. The win made the girls 1-0 in the OCL, and 3-0 overall. Winners for the Lady Trojans included: Melanie Frazier, Jacqui Perkins, Amanda Brown, Kassandra Aveni, Molly Pomroy, Amy Delgado, Samantha Bissonnette, Colleen Buckley, Kim Gabriele, Amanda Young, Elisabeth Bodensieck, and Isabella DeVincenzo. Other scorers for B-R were: Ashley Gracia, Erin Desrochers, Sarah Cote, Jill Wyman, Andrea Murray, Michelle Ives, Lauren Kelly, Maggie Wigley, Katie Ayers, Kelli Desrochers, and Katie Palmer. The girls hope to continue their early season sucess at Dartmouth H.S. on Thursday April 17th.
Varsity vs Durfee: The B-R Girls Track and Field Team ran their season record to 2-0, with an impressive win at Durfee H.S. on Tuesday April 8th. The final score was 105 to 31, as the girls had a fantastic meet against a solid Durfee team. Winners for the Lady Trojans included: Melanie Frazier, Amanda Brown, Andrea Murray, Colleen Buckley, Kim Gabriele, Amanda Young, Elisabeth Bodensieck, Alicia Roberts, Molly Pomroy, Samantha Bissonnette, Amy Delgado, Samantha Torpey, and Kassandra Aveni. Other girls scoring points for B-R included: Ashley Gracia, Jessica Rogers, Melissa MacDonald, Courtney Allen, Kelli Hudson, Katie Ayers, Kelsey Baumgarten, and Alexis Damish. The next meet is at Barnstable H.S. on Tuesday April 15.
Varsity vs Brockton: The B-R Girls Track and Field Team traveled to Brockton H.S. on Wednesday April 2nd for their first meet of the spring season. The Lady Trojans had a wonderful day defeating Brockton 100 to 35. Winners for B-R included: Melanie Frazier, Amy Delgado, Samantha Bissonnette, Andrea Murray, Molly Pomroy, Katie Ayers, Reilly Lindsey, Jacqui Perkins, Jessica Rogers, and Ashley Gracia. Other point scorers were: Melissa MacDonald, Michelle Ives, Michelle Young, Lauren Kelly, Maggie Wigley, Kelsey Baumgarten, Shannon Burke, Amanda Brown, Colleen Buckley, Kassandra Aveni, Jill Wyman, Sarah Cote, Lauren Monahan, and Erin Desrochers. The next meet is Tuesday April 8th at Durfee High School.
