Game Notes: 2008 Season
vs Attleboro: B-R boys tennis defeated by Attleboro at Attleboro on Mon.May 19 3-2. Winners for B.R. were both doubles teams. First doubles team Steve McAuley and Pat Lynn. Second doubles team: Kevin Johndreau and Ryan LeClair.
vs Barnstable and Falmouth: On Tuesday at home we were defeated by Barnstable 4-1 and on Thursday Falmouth won all five matches. We play Monday at Attleboro and must win all four matches to qualify for the state tournament. We have split with these four teams during the year
MIAA South Sectional Individual Tournament: Steve Viera won two matches Ist vs Mashpee (don't know opponents names) 6-3, 6-1 2nd match vs Seekonk player won 6-2, 6-1. Steve's quarterfinal match will be played at Barnstable High School next Saturday. Zack Hall was defeated by Martha's Vineyard player 6-0, 6-1
vs Durfee: Steve Viera won at first singles 6-0,6-0 Peter Bournazian won at 2nd singles 6-2, 6-0 Zack won at third singles - 6-1, 6-1 Pat Lynn and Steve McAuley won at 1st doubles 6-0, 6-1, Kevin Johndrow and Ryan LeClair won at 2nd doubles - 6-0, 6-2.
vs Dartmouth: B-R won at I 2nd singles with Peter Bounazian winning 6-1,6-1 1st doubles, won 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 Doubles team of Pat Lynn and Zack Hall.
vs Bishop Stang: Winners for B-R; first singles Steve Viera 6-1, 6-1: 2nd singles, Peter Bournzian 6-1,6-1, 1st doubles Anthony Do and Pat Lynn; 4-6,7-5,6-2: 2nd doubles, Anthony Do and Kevin Johndrow 6-4, 6-7 6-2.
vs Taunton: Lone winner for B-R 2nd doubles team of Kevin Johndrow and Anthony Do.
vs Attleboro: Attleboro defeated B-R Thursday 3-2. Winners for B-R were Zack Hall in third singles and Steve McAuley and Pat Lynn in first doubles. We play five matches this week starting with Taunton 5/5.
vs Barnstable: The team was defeated at Barnstable 5-0 with only one set matches being played on the 28th in a make up match played indoors.
vs Durfee: B-R boys tennis team beat Durfee tennis team 5-0 on4/21/08 at BR. First singles Steve Viera 6-0, 6-1, Second singles, Peter Bournazian 6-1, 6-2, Third singles Zack Hall 6-0, 6-0, First Doubles Steve McAuley and Anthony Do 6-0,6-2 Second singles Ryan Leclair and Kevin Johndrow 6-2, 6-2. next game is Monday 4/28 at league undefeated Barnstable.
vs West Bridgewater: The Trojans won that match 4-1 Single winners were Steve Viera first singles, Peter Bounazian second singles, Zack Hall third singles and Kevin Johndrow and Pat Lynn at third singles.
vs Dartmouth: Boys tennis broke into the win column with a 3-2 victory over visiting Dartmouth. Winners for B.R. were Steve Viera-1st singles 4-6, 7-5, 6-2, Zack Hall at third singles 6-4, 6-0 and ssecond doubles partners Kevin Johndrow and Pat Lynn 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The next game is at home today against defending OCL champ Barnstable.
vs Brockton: The winners for B-R were Steve Viera at first singles and Peter Bournazian at third singles.
B-R play a again at home Monday 4-14 vs Dartmouth.
vs Falmouth: The Trojans traveled to Falmouth, the defending state champ, and lostB.R. 5-0. The next match will be our home opener on Thursday, April 10, vs Durfee at 2:30.
vs Brockton: B-R lost its opening match at Brociton High School 3-2. Winning for BR was Peter Bournazian at third singles and Kevin Johndrow and Pat Lynn at second doubles.
